2009 daily pictures

A year in pictures, starting April 24, 2009. In an attempt to improve my photography, and keep a time history of it, then I'm putting this together. I hope it will inspire me to continue. I hope to post a picture here that I've at least taken recently, if not the previous day (I'm going to try to upload the next days the day before). I'd take a picture every day, but, well, I have a full time job outside of photography, not to mention I'm a graduate student...

I've only been getting serious at photography for about the last 6 months, mostly through hearing about it in podcasts I listen to, and having a wife whose an artist. As I'm an engineer, well, I needed to have a more creative side to have more in common with her, and so I decided to give it a shot. I went a few times with a friend who is hard core into photography, and he taught me how to use a DSLR. I got my own (Used Canon 20d), and have been having fun since.

Normally I only do contrast editing and cropping, but occasionally I'll have a desire to play with other things. I'm sure from time to time you'll see me venture into that realm. I'd like to learn more about such tools, and hope to get to learning all kinds of fun things.
