I recently took a picture of this same jumping Cholla cactus close to my house, on a day that I choose another picture as my daily photo. I decided to give it a shot again, and try for something a bit different. I tried to frame the mountain in the center of the cactus, and like how it turned out.

I walked out my house this morning, to see a hummingbird in the flowers in my front yard. I ran back in, and grabbed my camera, to no avail... But I did decide to try and get some good bird shots while I was at it, and managed to find this guy, a House Finch, perched in one of my neighbor's mesquite trees. He even stayed still long enough for me to move around and get a shot of him not though a bunch of leaves... It wasn't the humming bird I had hoped for, but it was at least something, and I did enjoy his lovely red color.
